The great thing about Sloss is that since they opened up the Haunted Attraction there in the early 80's, the ghosts have been stirred up enormously. They took all the shift change whistles out in the early 70's, but every few weeks, you'll hear them blow for the change to Mr. Slag's graveyard shift. He was the one who was responsible for most of the deaths that ended up shutting down Sloss Furnaces, because he drove his workers hard and many of them died from sheer exhaustion, until he fell into one of the coking vats. He is said to be the spirit of the burned man that people have sighted for so many years. No paranormal research team that has gone into Sloss Furnaces has lasted the night, but all of them have had readings completely off the charts. Some believe it's not haunted, but I know I can't cross the threshold of the fence without getting full body gooseflesh, and hearing screams and voices. I'm not psychic, nor will I ever claim to be. I can just feel the hatred that his employees had for that man. I would love to go on an investigation into Sloss Furnaces.

Me and my group can personally attest to the fort being haunted. just check out our web site and look at the most recent investigation we did down there. goto www.bonsecourparanormalinvestigations.com then surf arround. There are EVP's from there and a ghostly bodied apparition.
