If you stay in room 16 at the Hotel Vendome in Prescott, Arizona, you just may find that it is haunted by the ghost of Abby Byr and her cat, Noble. Abby came to Arizona searching for dry desert relief from tuberculosis and soon married. She and her new husband bought the hotel but they eventually lost it because of unpaid taxes. Regardless, the new owners allowed Abby and her husband to stay on in the hotel for no charge. She died in 1921 and her ghost, along with that of her cat, began to be seen after World War II. The stories say that Abby died of starvation, along with Noble, after her husband deserted her. She has been haunting the place ever since.

Brunkow’s Cabin (near Tombstone)
http://forums.ghosttowns.com/showthread.php?t=15056
http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=151779
I’ve heard more than a few stories about this place being really haunted. A handful of murders have taken place at this location. Some call it the bloodiest section of land in AZ.
It’s kind of hard to find – but it’s really interesting when you get there.
I’ve been there during the day but I would really like to go back at night and investigate.
The George and Dragon

This building was part of the original Indian School that was located in Phoenix. It also used to be a Shakey’s Pizza prior to the pub. When it was a pizza joint, a female was stabbed to death in the back. She now haunts the bar and kitchen area. She also haunts the woman’s bathroom on the north side of the building.
I joined an investigation here and we had more than a few crazy things happen. |
