Brantley Mansion, Helena, Montana
Brantley Mansion can be found in Helena, west-central Montana, built on Holter Street, sitting on top of a hill, which gives the mansion a full view of the city. It's said the judge haunts his former home.
-Unnamed Costume Shop, Virginia City.
Location unknown.
The ghost of a little girl has been seen sitting on the steps of this building.
-Bonanza Inn, Virginia City.
The ghost of a nun has appeared in rooms in this inn and in the building next door, known as the Bonanza House. The two buildings are said to be the most haunted in the city. The Bonanza Inn was the first county courthouse in Virginia City, but when a new courthouse was built in 1876 it became a Catholic hospital. The Bonanza House was used as a convent. But the ghosts seen in these buildings are far from benign. One of the rooms at the inn had to be sealed because of all the frightening poltergeist manifestations, and the apparition of a lecherous man has appeared in one of the upstairs rooms at the Bonanza House. Disembodied footsteps, eerie feelings of discomfort, and bone-chilling cold spots plague both buildings to this day.
Virginia City is in Madison County in southwestern Montana. From Butte, take I-90 east to U.S. Highway 287 south and exit at State Highway 287 west. Bonanza Inn, Virginia City, MT 59755

Thanks to Otter for submitting the following: "Now used as office space, Brantley Hall was an all-girls dormitory. There was a room on the second floor that was haunted. Rumour had it that in the 1920's, a local girl, depressed over the loss of her father's ranch, due to the stock market crash, hung herself in her dorm room. The dorm room was used as an ironing room, and various students commented on strange clicking noises behind them while they ironed their clothes. The clicking noises were from high heels walking across the floor."
-CROW INDIAN RESERVATION
Fort Abraham Lincoln
In May 1876, General George Custer's six-hundred troops marched from this fort to join other troops in an assault on Sioux Indians. As residents waved good-bye and watched the Seventh Cavalry Regiment ride off to the southeast, they were astonished to see almost half the troops ride off into the sky and vanish from sight, while the remaining troops were in plain view. Many interpreted the strange vision as an omen of impending doom. On June 25, at the Battle of the Little Bighorn, Custer and 264 of his troops, about half those who marched out of Fort Lincoln, were killed by the united tribes of the Sioux Indian Nation.
The Crow Indian Reservation is southeast of Billings in southeastern Montana. The reservation extends to the Wyoming border

Also, is the Charlie Russel Manor. It is said to be haunted by a spirit who once stayed there in the 1800's and died. It is a bed and breakfast now, and people can hear this ghost walking up and down the stairs. I am not sure all the details, but thought I would add this one in.
Nice work on the places here in Montana IrishEyes. _________________ Kevin Timberlake

My sister lives in Westby Montana, small little nothing town. Literally from her back porch she sees the town bar and across from that is the elementry school.
She said that whole town is claimed to be haunted. _________________ The supernatural is the natural just not yet understood. ~Elbert Hubbard.
