I would love to start a north texas chapter. what would need to be done? I would need all the details of my responsibilities so i could make sure i would have the time needed to make it a success before i commit. nightwatcher only deserves the best!!

Thank you to everyone who has already expressed an interest. Most of you are asking what it takes to start a chapter and I will give you a quick answer right now. It takes TIME and MONEY! And a lot of both.
When you investigate someone's home, you are obligated to go over their evidence as soon as possible. They are looking for help and answers, and they want them quickly. If you do a 5-hour investigation, that can include 10-15 hours of evidence per investigator depending on how much equipment you set up, and that doesn't include the time it takes to analyze something once you find an interesting piece of evidence. Then there is the travel to and from investigations, the phone calls, the paperwork. It is very time consuming. It's not like a Nightwatchers investigation where you just show up, investigate, then review your evidence at your leisure.
As many of you have already noticed, it is expensive to do this. There is equipment, video tapes, batteries, gas, business cards, websites, etc. On each investigation, I spend about $35 on video tapes alone. It gets expensive and it all comes out of your own pocket.
Keep in mind that each chapter will be responsible for finding and setting up their own investigations. Nightwatchers doesn't do that for you.
I am not trying to discourage anyone from doing this. I would love to see this country covered with Nightwatchers chapters. I just want everyone to be thinking about the reality of this type of endeavor before you get yourself into something you didn't think about!

I have 2 API senior investigators to help me Co-lead the Northern California Chapter. They really want to make it even more active than I imaginied. I'll get them hooked up on here. It's Gary and Marcie. They are both seasoned investigators, one is a skeptic and debunker and one is a sensitive. Is there a place for Chapter communication on the forum?

James and everyone else - I am trying desperately to get caught up. After being on vacation for a week and then coming home to find my internet disconnected, I am really behind at everything including the job that actually pays the mortgage. Lol!
Honestly, it's going to be after the holidays before I can get back into this chapter thing. So, expect a fresh start in January when everyone will get everything they need to get a chapter started. That is if I can convince Todd to get the graphic done by then. Hmmm, that could be difficult.

Everyone please work with CALLEA on this and be aware that while I am involved, she is in charge of groups. People are coming to me, and I really want to help, but please work with Callea first hand... It will be faster and I am so stuffed with things that it takes me forever to do anything. CALLEA is in charge of this area of Nightwatchers and she is amazing to work with. I am still here to help as well, but please go to Callea first and if there is an issue you guys can bring me in to help. I stand beside Callea on everything 100% and I trust her with this fully. Also, please keep the lines of Communication open and make sure we are in the loop. We have had a couple of people sign up for groups and then disappear. While we understand things get busy and hectic, especially around Holidays, just a note that things are good with you will help!
