If you are a Nightwatchers Chapter and have a MySpace page, please watch out for, and RE-POST the Nightwatchers bulletins. This includes bulletins regarding both Nightwatchers events and Nightwatch Radio information. Todd is being gracious enough to allow each of you to use the Nightwatchers name, so please, please, please return the favor!
We try not to flood the bulletin section with Nightwatchers bulletins, but if we put one up there, it's because it is something Todd wants people in the paranormal communty to be aware of. The best way to get the word out, is by re-posting bulletins. I notice that many of you are already doing this, but some of you are not. Thanks for your cooperation!
I am sending this to each of you in an e-mail message as well, just to be sure that everyone has read it.

Excellent idea! I think it would be great to see the chapters promote the trips more by way of bulletins. It only helps ALL the Nightwatchers by making sure trips are filled up and brings more attention to the group as a whole. _________________ ~The Forum Nazi~ |

Thank you for helping Charlie!!
I have to be very honest here. I think that admins and chapters seriously need to step and repost regularly instead of just the same few over and over again. Todd is still losing money on trips and needs to get some filled.
We need to promote this group. This group supports all of you, so I hope we all can give back by simply posting bulletins once a week or so.
If we do not let others know about our upcoming adventures, they will not know how or where to join.
There are plenty of places to inform people, including Craigs list, all the online social networks, hell print off a copy of the trips and hang them in your public library or other public boards in your neighborhoods. The places are countless. _________________ ~The Forum Nazi~ |

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. If anyone doesn't know how to re-post a bulletin on MySpace, and that's what is keeping you from helping out, here's a quick how-to.
Open the bulletin message, then click on "Reply to sender". Copy the contents of the bulletin, then paste it in your own bulletin!
Thanks to eveyone who is taking the time to do this! _________________ Participate in Your Own Rescue!! |

Just remember to copy the entire post, as there are codes in there that if any are missing, it could screw up the whole thing. We appreciate any help we can get!
Also, there's been a couple of times I tried to repost and I wasn't paying attention and ended up sending the bulletin to whomever posted it in the first place. Other times, after posting, I realized there was something wrong with it, so I deleted it from the BB, fixed it and posted it again. I'm sure that drives some people crazy. . . . . it was there, now it isn't, and it's there again. Sometimes you just have to do that to people. heh heh heh _________________

Well, in order to be a Nightwatchers chapter you have to submit paperwork and be approved. How are you wanting to put the Nightwatchers name with yours? We have banners you can add to your pages, if you like, but the Nightwatchers name is trademarked, so I guess to answer your question, I need more info. _________________ Participate in Your Own Rescue!! |

Ok well I have no group that I'm part of yet, I am looking though but the banners would be good to put up. What kind of paper work would I need to put in? And can I be a single member for now? _________________ I feel dead people. |

You're already a single member of Nightwatchers. I just wasn't sure what you meant by your request to put Nightwatchers with your name. If you just want to add a banner, that is totally fine. _________________ Participate in Your Own Rescue!! |

OK, I am at a loss, so I need suggestions from anyone who has one. Every time I ask the chapters to re-post, they will post one or two bulletins, and that's it. I'm frustrated with this because the request to re-post is not coming from me, it's not because I have nothing better to do. Trust me, ask the people who are backed up on approval, I have plenty to do. The request is coming from Todd. He wants - no he NEEDS help - getting the word out about these awesome trips he has set up for us. It doesn't matter if you are personally going on a specific trip, re-post it anyway. Geez, you'd think that people would want to help Todd out. They're always telling him they'll do anything he asks. Well, He's ASKING! Does anyone have ANY suggestions about how to get this accomplished? If you are a chapter and you don't re-post, why? That would also be helpful info.
Ok, rant is over, now onto the suggestion portion of this thread. Please don't just read it and ignore it, even if you're not a chapter, give me some input. I am desperate. Thank you all! _________________ Participate in Your Own Rescue!! |

some groups may not check their myspace page that often or on the other side of things, like our myspace page, the bulletin board get SO flooded with random thing that you don't even see the bulletin so you can't re-post it.
Something else you can try is if you are running html code for the bulletins, copy and paste the code and email the groups to say "please repost this on your myspace bulletins"
that way you kill two birds with one stone, the groups know their is a bulletin to repost and all they have to do is repost the code to the bulletin so that any graphics in that bulletin will show up. _________________

I've tried emailing the codes, Aaron. Something gets lost in the transition, like the quotation marks don't like the font so they refuse to act right, blah blah blah. I don't know how many times I've fixed up a bulletin, reviewed it before posting and it doesn't work right. Something as simple as the above can screw it up. Then, My Space will throw you a loop, like recently making the line height fixed for small print, but if you try to make the font bigger, you end up running over your own words so you have to place two line breaks. But I love doing this, I've been making "posters" my whole life. I used to have to draw them, thank God for computers! _________________

I will continue to post on my myspace, I will help as much as possible, but I would love to represent us (G.H.O.S.T.S ) as a local chapter also, we have newspaper interviews in our area that I want to promote Nightwatchers with also, feel uncomfortable in doing so because we are technically not a chapter member yet.........tell me what you guys want me to do...........
