If your even partially a zombie movie fan then you've got to own these two books. Both are written by Max Brooks. The first is written like a facsimile of a military manual written for civilians about how to survive zombie attacks. Brooks really breaks it down in this book, explaining where the zombie disease comes from, what weapons are good and not good to use, what kind of structures are good to hole up in, the different levels of a zombie infestation, and the last chapter is a section on the recorded "history" of zombie attacks. It's a book I garauntee you will not want to put down. It retails for $13.95.
World War Z is written after mankind has fallen to a zombie infestation, fought back, and is in the process of rebuilding. It's written from the point of view of a reporter writing up interview columns about the survivors telling their stories of how the infestation started, how quickly it spread, and the fall of civilization and its subsequent rise again. It's a great follow up to "The Survival Guide" however you don't have to have read it in order to understand "War Z". This one has yet to be released in soft cover. It retails for about $24.95.
