Several hauntings have been reported here. In the Rotunda, the spirit of an employee can be seen moving about carrying a tray. In the Senate, the ghost of a worker accidentally sealed alive into a wall during construction is still said to roam the building. It's also been reported that a room filled with statues of presidents and congressmen once came to life. Lastly, the basement is said to be haunted by a black cat that seems to foretell impending disaster.
