Just another reminder that I will be lecturing for the public (about some of my favorite cases) and leading an investigation which still has a few slots open at a location (see below) in the Seattle area on October 27th, 2007.

Haunted Consignment Store in Issaquah to Be Investigated by Famed Paranormal Investigator & Psychic at Grand Opening

The night of October 27, 2007, will see world-renowned parapsychologist, paranormal investigator and author Loyd Auerbach investigating an Issaquah haunt with psychic Neva Ankhasha Amenti. The investigation will cap a day of events focused on the paranormal.

Ankhasha’s Consignments Etc. (formerly Consignments Etc.) is now owned by Amenti, who decided on the location after visiting while looking for a space for her own business. “Even though the store is like a big open warehouse, when I first walked in, I could definitely feel something,” said Amenti. “I turned the corner into a side room and felt a strange pull to go up the stairs to the attic, but it was blocked off. I introduced myself to the owner at the time, Robbie Pirhadi, and she told me the attic was haunted.”

The ghostly inhabitants of the place are thought to be previous owners Alex Strnard and Dick Bernsten. Pirhadi reported there are times they pinched her, touched customers, turned lights on and off, and filled the place with a strong coffee smell (and no coffee brewing). Footsteps could be heard from the attic, even though no one was up there. Clocks have been reset, and electrical systems relabeled. Chairs were often found mysteriously rearranged, and more. Piradhi has said she believes the ghosts have a great sense of humor.

Amenti, a psychic who is part of Auerbach’s network for his Office of Paranormal Investigations based in San Francisco, has worked with the parapsychologist for several years after taking numerous parapsychology courses from him. Her own visits to the store, and sessions with Piradhi contacting the spirits, have led to some interesting situations.

As a result of Amenti’s visits to the store, she and Pirhadi became friends, and when it came time to sell the business, the psychic was her choice for new owner.

Ankhasha’s Consignments Etc. opens early September, but the grand opening celebration – in honor of the ghosts – will be held closer to Halloween. Events on October 27th will include:

* Meet and Greet the Parapsychologist and the Psychic, as Loyd Auerbach signs some of his books, and he and Neva Ankhasha Amenti discuss ghosts in general, and the phenomena at the store in particular
When: Saturday, October 27, 2007 from 2-5 PM
Cost: Free

* Ghost Stories & Psychic Entertainment, with Auerbach recounting some of his more interesting cases and performing mind reading routines. Seating is limited.
When: Saturday, October 27, 2007, from 7:30-9 PM
Cost: $10

* The Haunting of Consignments Etc.: the Investigation. Auerbach and Amenti will lead the first full-on paranormal investigation of the building. This will include interviews with witnesses to the activity, and a thorough look at the property from scientific and psychic perspectives to determine just what or who is haunting the store.
There will be a very limited number of slots available for interested parties to take part in the investigation with Auerbach and Amenti. However any individuals so interested will need to have a brief conversation with Auerbach, who will select those permitted to join in.
“We want folks really interested in the phenomena of apparitions, hauntings and poltergeists, and not simply thrill-seekers who want to ‘play’ at ghost hunting,” said Auerbach. We won't be sitting around in the dark -- we'll be looking into what actually is going on.
When: 10 PM until ?
Cost: $75.00

Limited seating for each of these!
